About DevNull

In the mid-eighties, DevNull’s music interests took a giant leap when he was confronted with modern electronic music of that time, such as front 242 and Meat Beat Manifesto. This grew even more when acid was born and from that time, somewhere around 1988, he started to buy dance records just for playing at home.

In the mid 90’s, he joined a local radio station and hosted the weekly 4 hour dance show “Unknown Structure”, together with Mike Fear. With him, he formed the musical duo JEHFX, and did various live performances at known and unknown venues. Later on, JEHFX got in contact with Jan Liefhebber, who, at that time, was well known for organizing underground parties. When Jan started the Highland Beats label, JEHFX did some releases on it.

At that time, he was a student electronical engineering, and with the gained knowledge, he did repairs and modifications on music gear. Later on, he designed some electronic music gear, together with a co student.

Nowadays, DevNull is a producer only and does live shows for those who want him to :)
