Started of doing decorations for a partycrew called Ascensions in Wageningen.
Had my first Dj experience doing this really doped out ambient chillout sessions at different parties.
But it could not be named as DJ-ing. Randomly sliding faders up and down being completely of my trolley was more likely to be the case.
But my good friend Moonflower and I had a great time doing it and that is what counts I guess.
When Ascensions became Beezwax my dear brother was kind enough to completely infect me with the Dj virus and I played Drum ’n Bass for several years being Dj Jazzpa.
Meanwhile back in the studio…..
My good friend Moonflower introduced me to software like fast-tracker (Oh yeah!) and later on rebirth. This resulted in an ever growing interest in electronic dance music.
Many nights wasted down the road I moved from Fruityloops to Reason and Cubase for a while when I discovered Ableton Live. During this process I also experienced a shift in musical interest.
My interest in D&B was fading and I got reintroduced to Psychedelic-trance. While I had visited several parties at the ELF in Amsterdam it didn’t really rock my boat. But after a reintroduction with it in the Australian bush in 2001 I got severely devoted.
And this is where I am now: trying to produce Psychedelic or Progressive Trance and also playing it as a Dj.
